# VOLUME 7 · Strategic Partnerships
_How BSGOTECH selects, engages and grows partners._

---

## 1. How we evaluate partners
Every candidate is scored against six criteria:
1. **Strategic fit** — does the partner reinforce the four-platform ecosystem?
2. **Technology real vs. aspirational** — is the technology shipping today?
3. **Regulatory posture** — CE, EU MDR, ISO 27001, IEC 61508 as applicable.
4. **Commercial reciprocity** — can we generate revenue for them and vice versa within 24 months?
5. **European presence** — EU-based or EU-committed operations.
6. **Cultural alignment** — engineering-first, long-term, discreet.

Any candidate scoring below 3 on any dimension is deferred.

## 2. Technology providers
- **Siemens** (industrial digitalisation, PLC, MindSphere) — *proposed*.
- **VCOW** (industrial IPCs and edge computing) — active supplier.
- **DFOPTIX** (precision machine vision) — *proposed*.
- **Bluesun Solar** (solar modules) — active.
- **Wattzing** (energy monitoring) — active.
- **BENY New Energy** (BESS + inverters) — active.
- **NEURA Robotics** (cognitive and humanoid robots) — *proposed*.

## 3. Research institutions
- **Fraunhofer** — proposed research collaboration for pilot instrumentation and applied research.
- Selected European universities (medical, engineering, energy) — pipeline.

## 4. Hospitals
Selection criteria:
- Renal specialty depth (nephrology, dialysis, transplant).
- Existing digitalisation maturity (EHR, FHIR-ready).
- Willingness to co-author a pilot study.
- Geographic fit (DACH first, then Iberia).

## 5. Industrial companies
Selection criteria:
- Multi-site manufacturing footprint in DACH.
- Executive sponsorship (director-level minimum).
- Willingness to share operational data under NDA.
- Pilot budget authority.

## 6. Universities
Priority: dual-track — engineering (industrial + robotics + energy) and medicine (nephrology + digital health). Preferred partners publish jointly and place students in BSGOTECH pilots.

## 7. Government organizations
- Federal (Germany): BMWK, BMBF.
- Regional (Lower Saxony): Land ministries for economy, science, health.
- European: DG CONNECT, DG RTD, DG SANTE.

Partnership goals: co-funding (Horizon Europe, EU Innovation Fund), regulatory sandbox access, procurement pipeline.

## 8. Partnership lifecycle
1. **Scouting** — landscape scan; scoring against six criteria.
2. **First meeting** — objective, mutual value, exclusivity boundaries.
3. **NDA + MoU** — signed before any technical data exchange.
4. **Proof of concept** — 90 days, scoped, one measurable outcome.
5. **Pilot** — 6–12 months, one lighthouse deployment.
6. **Commercial framework** — MSA + SOW + revenue-share model.
7. **Scale** — multi-site rollout with dedicated joint governance.
8. **Renewal or graceful exit** — every partnership is reviewed annually.

## 9. Non-negotiables
- Proposed collaborations are always labelled *Proposed* on the website until formal contracting.
- No exclusivity granted for more than 24 months without a compensating revenue commitment.
- IP created jointly is jointly owned; IP created independently remains with its creator.
